Welcome to the Haunted Doghouse
Home of the creeps, the willies, and the chills.
The Basement
Ah, I see you chose to venture into the basement. This is a room, that I never enter. I'm only telling
you about it, and then I'll go- leaving you alone in the dark. Be careful of the stairs, they creak and
moan, and the next-to-the-last-step is a bit loose. Just pull the string to turn on the light. Click. It's
not very bright I know, and really all you've done is created some very long, and dark shadows.
So long, tread carefully.

Slam. Spot has left the room, and you look around feeling brave. It's only a basement, you say. I
have one of these at home. Several old and dusty boxes line the wall to your left. The only place to go
is slightly forward, and then to your right, where the room is totally dark. A loud thump comes from
above you, and you almost jolt for the door until you realize it has come from other tourists upstairs.
Feeling foolish, with a need to prove yourself, you turn right, and walk into the darkened room.

Surprisingly, the room looks empty. Feeling cheated, you walk all the way to the far wall just to make
sure. Something is written on the wall. Just barely, the words, "Edgar Allen Poe," can be seen. Just
then you notice, that only a few feet away, more words are written on the wall. "Elizabeth Bathory."
"Haunted Tombstone." "The Borley Rectory."

By reaching out and touching the names scratched into the wall, you will learn of their horrors, but
beware. What is learned cannot be unlearned. What you see and feel will stay with you for the rest of
your life. Do you dare touch the words?
